Lanes School of Driving was established in 1914 and for over 100 years it has helped people to learn to drive effectively and safely. At Lanes, learning to drive is all about enjoying the experience while learning from the very best instructors. Lanes has the ability to cater for everyone. Our main aim is to help our pupils pass their test so we create a course that is made for them in every way. Some pupils want to pass their test as quickly as possible and for them our intensive driving courses are ideal. Our pupils have different needs which is why we offer theory lessons as part of the practical lessons or as a separate course.
Learning to drive is not just about passing your test and heading out onto the open roads. At Lanes we understand that some pupils require tuition beyond passing their test and we have a number of additional services available. Our Advanced Driving, Pass Plus, Motorway Driving and Parking skills courses all help to enhance confidence and ability on the road which makes for safer drivers.
We understand that our pupils lead busy lives and this is why we aim to be as flexible as possible. Our lessons can be booked at a time that suits our pupils and as frequently as they wish because we like our pupils to be in control of how they learn.

For our pupils to learn in the best possible way we do all we can to make things easy for them. We can pick our pupils up from different locations and drop them back to where they want to go. Our main priority is teaching them how to drive.
